My name is Sherzod Rakhmatov and I will be chairing the Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET) during the MEP BSR session in Riga. I was born on April 14th, 1998 in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan and now I have been living in Germany for 10 years. At present, I attend the “Max-von-Laue Gymnasium” in Coblenz, which I will expectedly finish in summer 2018. The upcoming session in Riga is going to be my 7th one and I am pleased about participating once again in such an ambitious project like the MEP.
Generally speaking, the Committee’s topic is the Syrian Civil War. This topic is very difficult and complex as well. More then 250,000 Syrians have lost their lives and more then 11 million others have been forced from their homes. But I am confident that you will be able to solve it.
To create a basis for a successful committee meeting, you have to be informed very well about your issue, in this case about the Syrian Civil War. This means:
- You have to know the most important rules, regulations and laws regarding this issue
- You should collect as many figures and facts as you can about this issue
- And naturally, you have to be able to define the current problems
First, I recommend you the linked article below to get an overview of the topic:
I am very much looking forward to collaborating with you and debating about real and current problems of the European Union.
